Few men attempt to shave using a straight razor - here's how its done!
1. Prep the blade - press the blade against the linen side of the strop about a dozen times, when you're done, do the same on the lather side. 2. Use the Lube, not the oil! - the last thing you should ever do is put a lubed-up straight razor against your face, go for the thick shaving cream and a badger brush. 3. Ditch the skin - to prevent the blade from clipping your skin, stretch your skin upward. That gets tricky by the chin. 4. Get a grip - keep the blade at a 30 degree angle. If you don't hold it right, you will either run the risk of cutting yourself or just not cut any hair all together.
